2014 HeartShare Special Adults Christmas Party

On Tuesday Dec. 9, our Council hosted HeartShare Special Adult Christmas Party for the Doonan-Drake ‎Residence at 300 East 18th Street in Brooklyn, NY. We supplied and served dinner and desert to the residents, visitors and staff. After dinner we headed to the living room to await “Santa” with gifts for the residents. There are no words that can explain the feeling you receive from these adults who do not know us but realize that someone is doing something happy & nice for them. We thank HeartShare for allowing us the privilege to interact with these “special” people.

Red Cross Blood Drive

On November 1, 2014 Joseph B. Cavallaro Council #4884, Knights of Columbus in Brooklyn NY sponsored a blood drive to support the Eagle Scout project for Benjamin Kelk, grandson of Cavallaro Council member  S.K. William “Doc” Holliday. At the end of a chilly, windy, rainy day, approximately 20 units of blood were donated. The Red Cross was very much satisfied and grateful for our help and support.
